Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Guilford). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat American International Academy 80-24. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 72nd in Illinois, while American International Academy are ranked 471st in Michigan), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Guilford's win bumped their record up to 11-3. As for American International Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Guilford will welcome Belvidere North at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for American International Academy, they will be playing at home against Northwestern at 7:00 p.m. on January 13th.
