Keystone Oaks barely beat Brownsville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Golden Eagles put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 14-7 win on Wednesday. Considering the Golden Eagles have won four matchups by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Ian Bickel was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Keystone Oaks got a great performance from Max Boehm as he pitched 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. The dominant performance also gave Boehm a new career-high in strikeouts (five).
Back at the plate, Roman Keaney was excellent, going 3-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Brady McDine, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Keystone Oaks was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Brownsville only posted a batting average of .207.
The victory made it two in a row for Keystone Oaks and bumps their season record up to 7-5. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Brownsville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-7.
Coming up, Keystone Oaks will take on Waynesburg Central at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Brownsville, they will face off against Jefferson-Morgan at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rockets will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Falcons surely won't give up without a fight.
