J.L. Mann and Woodmont are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The J.L. Mann Patriots will be playing in front of their home fans against the Woodmont Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully J.L. Mann is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Woodmont in South Carolina (J.L. Mann is ranked sixth, while Woodmont is ranked 80th).
J.L. Mann scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Hillcrest 74-33 on the road. J.L. Mann has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 21 points or more this season.
Among those leading the charge was Caitlin Bowling, who scored 12 points along with eight steals and five assists. Another player making a difference was Olivia McKinney, who scored 12 points along with five steals.
Meanwhile, Woodmont unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 70-32 loss at the hands of Mauldin. Woodmont has not had much luck with Mauldin recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
J.L. Mann has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. As for Woodmont, their loss dropped their record down to 8-13.
J.L. Mann strolled past Woodmont in their previous meeting on January 10th by a score of 57-42. Will J.L. Mann repeat their success, or does Woodmont have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
