This season hasn't been kind to the King Abdullah Academy Falcons, who are still winless after their fourth game. They were beaten by St. Michael the Archangel 79-7 on Friday. King Abdullah Academy lost against St. Michael the Archangel in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 36-25 score last time.
St. Michael the Archangel's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Anjalia Bryant led the charge by dropping a double-double on 29 points and 10 steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Bryant has scored at least 25% of St. Michael the Archangel's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Janaye Martinez, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 24 rebounds.
King Abdullah Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for St. Michael the Archangel, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. King Abdullah Academy will take on Christ Chapel Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. St. Michael the Archangel will be home for the holidays to greet Highland at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
