There's no place like home for the Covenant Knights, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with a 59-48 win over Shelton on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Covenant also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Covenant had a senior duo take command as Brady Shahan scored 21 points along with six rebounds and Dobson Beaird scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Hook, who scored eight points.
Covenant's win bumped their record up to 19-9. As for Shelton, they dropped their record down to 13-16 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Covenant will square off against the Guard at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Shelton, they will head out on the road to face off against the Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
