Moscow had lost 13 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 2-20 to make it 14. They fell 8-4 to the Pullman Greyhounds. The Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Greyhounds apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2025.
Taylor Williams was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she pitched six innings while giving up three earned (and five unearned) runs off five hits. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in March.
On the hitting side, Morgan Barnes made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Harly Marcotte was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
As for Pullman, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.1 runs over those games.
On Pullman's side, Bailee Randall was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits. That's the most strikeouts Randall has posted since back in April of 2025. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ady Sanford, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since April 3rd. Another player making a difference was Taylor Cromie, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one double.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Moscow will face off against Lakeland at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bears' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hawks have averaged an impressive 10.8 runs per game this season. As for Pullman, they will take on Deer Park at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Greyhounds will need to watch out since the Stags have now posted at least ten runs in their last seven matchups.
