Daniel was led to victory by Simms Disbrow and Tristyn Carrington. Disbrow scored 24 points along with three steals, while Carrington scored 15 points along with nine steals and six assists. The matchup was Carrington's third in a row with at least ten points. Hayden Anderson was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds.
Walhalla's loss came despite strong showings from Jack Williams and Jacob Wise. Williams scored 22 points along with five assists and five rebounds, while Wise scored 18 points along with five rebounds. That's the first time this season that Wise scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Ander Hunnicutt, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Daniel's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Walhalla, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.
Daniel won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Eastside at 4:00 p.m. on January 6th. Eastside has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 504 points over their last seven matchups. Walhalla's road trip will continue as they head out to face Crescent at 7:30 p.m. on January 9th. Crescent is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
