The Cliffside Park Raiders will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Dumont Huskies at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Cliffside Park came up short against Ridgefield Park and fell 49-41. Cliffside Park has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite their defeat, Cliffside Park saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Jerelz Ortiz, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Ken Hunter, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Meanwhile, Dumont pushed their score all the way to 66 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Dwight Morrow by a score of 68-66.
Cliffside Park has not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season. As for Dumont, their loss dropped their record down to 13-7.
