Golden Valley scaled the state rankings by moving to 496 from 568 this week, the biggest jump in Central California Conference. The Cougars were able to move up by beating Turlock 27-26.
Golden Valley and the Bulldogs played the closest game in the league this week, with Golden Valley eventually emerging with a 27-26 victory.
Buhach Colony's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Darin DuPont threw for 146 and 2 touchdowns and Aundre Sherman had 48 yards receiving. On the ground Quintin Levesque contributed 82 yards. Johnathan Morrow helped Buhach Colony's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 34 yards.

6-foot-4 quarterback Tyrone Williams of the Bears is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,096. He has also thrown 8 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Jashaan Wright. The Golden Valley star has 17 catches for 480 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Pitman takes on second place Merced. Pitman topped Atwater last week, while Merced beat Buhach Colony.
The Pride took down the Falcons 35-14 last week, the largest margin of any game.
