Caruthersville is 5-0 against Kelly since October of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Caruthersville Tigers have the luxury of staying home another week and will welcome the Kelly Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Caruthersville knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Kelly likes a good challenge.
Caruthersville can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They breezed by Hayti at home to the tune of 54-0.
Meanwhile, Kelly fell victim to Ste. Genevieve's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Dragons, falling 35-0. While losing is never fun, Kelly can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri football rankings (they are ranked 234th, while Ste. Genevieve is ranked 108th).
The losing side was boosted by Reece Eftink, who rushed for 134 yards while picking up 7.1 yards per carry.
Caruthersville's victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-3. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 45 points. As for Kelly, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-3 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Caruthersville against Kelly in their previous matchup back in October of 2016 as the team secured a 71-0 victory. Will Caruthersville repeat their success, or does Kelly have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
