Fort Wayne Bishop Luers barely beat Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Knights put the hurt on the Cadets with a sharp 11-1 victory on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Cadets: they've now won six in a row.
Anthony Antonuccio tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and only one walk). He has become a key player for Fort Wayne Bishop Luers: the team is 4-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 5-6 otherwise.

At the plate, Fort Wayne Bishop Luers let Jacob Felger and Jaxson Hill run wild. Felger went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Hill went 1-for-2 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave Hill a new career-high. Ben Kiracofe was another key player, earning one RBI, two runs, and two stolen bases.

Guerin Catholic also got a great performance from Luke Gremelspacher as he struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and only one walk). Gremelspacher has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Carson Kail was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Brody Cain, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.
Fort Wayne Bishop Luers' victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Guerin Catholic, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-8.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Fort Wayne Bishop Luers has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Guerin Catholic struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.6 strikeouts.
