Bozeman moved up to 307 from 354 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 1A District 3. The Bucks climbed the ranks as a result of besting Chipley 49-14.
Bozeman made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 5,763 from 6,912. The advance stemmed from a 49-14 victory over the Tigers last week.
South Walton's dynamic duo of Johnathan Ortner and Drew Pheiffer proved tough for Holmes County to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Ortner threw for 208 yards and two touchdowns and Pheiffer had 93 yards receiving. Sage Roberts helped South Walton's passing attack out by catching three balls for 43 yards.
Jacob Martinez was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 109 yards on 17 carries as William Tillman's team lost to the Blue Devils. Teammate Javoni Bell added to the ground attack by rushing for 97 yards.
Holmes County's JR. Miles and Ty Russ have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Miles has thrown for 827 yards this season, while Russ, a 5-foot-6 receiver, has 16 catches for 467 yards. The Bucks' Martinez leads the league in rushing yards with 585.
