Basketball Recap: Sunbright Piles Up the Points Against Coalfield

After losing to Coalfield the last time they met, Sunbright decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Sunbright Tigers simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat the Coalfield Yellow Jackets 67-35. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Sunbright was led to victory by Levi Walker and Noah Bunch. Walker posted 21 points, while Bunch earned 21 points. Garrett Rogers was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Sunbright has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.1 points per game. As for Coalfield, their loss was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-14.

Sunbright will be playing at home against Oakdale at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Coalfield, they will host Clarkrange at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Clarkrange is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59 points per game this season.
