Tekonsha scored a stunning upset when it knocked off Burr Oak, 28-26. At the time, the Bobcats was ranked 22nd in the state, while the Indians was 27th.
St. Patrick extended the longest winning streak in Southern Michigan (8 Man) this week by beating St. Philip Catholic Central, 50-43. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Shamrocks.
St. Patrick's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Shamrocks feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Collin Lay has thrown for 337 yards and seven touchdowns this season, while John Pline has eight catches for 192 yards. Lay also leads the league in rushing with 545 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between the Fighting Tigers and Waldron. St. Philip Catholic Central comes into the matchup ranked 12th in the state, while the Spartans ranks 13th.
Waldron took down Litchfield 80-18 last week, the largest margin of any game.
