On Wednesday, McCormick beat Silver Bluff 51-42. The win made it back-to-back wins for McCormick.
Camden Durant was the offensive standout of the match as he scored 12 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Terrence Cartledge, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Justin Perry, who scored nine points along with five steals. Deshawn Wells was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six assists.
Speaking of assists, Silver Bluff were working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as McCormick only racked up four assists.
McCormick's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.2 points per game. As for Silver Bluff, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.
McCormick will be playing in front of their home fans against Dixie at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Dixie's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last eight matchups. Silver Bluff's road trip will continue as they head out to face Strom Thurmond at 7:45 p.m. on January 19th. Strom Thurmond is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
