Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Quilcene). They pulled ahead with a 36-35 photo finish over the Rainier Christian Mustangs on Wednesday. This was payback for the Rangers, who suffered a 45-18 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Quilcene's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Rainier Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Quilcene will face off against Sound Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Sound Christian's defense has only allowed 28.7 points per game this season, so Quilcene's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Rainier Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-0 loss against Crosspoint Christian on the 10th.
