Basketball Game Recap: Vero Beach Indians vs. Treasure Coast Titans

If Treasure Coast wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Vero Beach, they should've done a better job of containing Ekklesia Anderson. The Vero Beach Indians had just enough and edged the Treasure Coast Titans out 34-31 thanks in part to Anderson, who posted 26 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Those 26 points gave her a new career-high.

Vero Beach's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-7. As for Treasure Coast, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-6.

After both having extra time off, Vero Beach and Morningside Academy will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 6:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025. Morningside Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.1 points per game this season. As for Treasure Coast, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Westwood at 5:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
