The Koliganek Huskies were the 48-35 winner over the Bristol Bay Angels when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Koliganek fell 59-48 to the Angels on Friday.
Bristol Bay got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Keilan Wassillie out in front who scored 26 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wassillie has scored all season. Chad Anderson was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Koliganek's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Bristol Bay, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-3.
Koliganek won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the T-Jacks and Rookies at 1:00 p.m. on January 27th. King Cove has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 419 points over their last six matchups. As for Bristol Bay, they will square off against the Huskies at TBD on Friday.
