Marcellus has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Skaneateles Lakers at 6:30 p.m. Marcellus has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 290 points over their last four matchups.
On Wednesday, Marcellus strolled past Cazenovia with points to spare, taking the game 55-36.
Will Burnett and Tucker Burnett were among the main playmakers for Marcellus as the former scored ten points along with eight steals and the latter scored 15 points along with six assists and six steals. The match was Burnett's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Kershaw, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Skaneateles, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 60-45 loss to Christian Brothers Academy last Tuesday.
Marcellus pushed their record up to 6-0 with that win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 26.11 points. As for Skaneateles, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
Marcellus took their win against Skaneateles in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 58-32. Will Marcellus repeat their success, or does Skaneateles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
