The Castle View Sabercats will venture away from home to face off against the Grandview Wolves at 9:30 a.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Castle View is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. Everything went their way against Pine Creek as they made off with a 15-1 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Sabercats sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Keyan Lundvall made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and only one walk). He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, Samuel Harry was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with four runs, two stolen bases, and two doubles. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Tyler Feldhake also deserves some recognition as he launched his first home run of the season.
Castle View always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last match, Grandview made sure to put some runs up on the board against Pueblo West on Saturday. The Wolves were the clear victors by a 15-2 margin over the Cyclones. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolves.
The team relied heavily on Kayden Bohmeyer, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyler Vaughn, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Castle View's record now sits at 19-6. As for Grandview, their record is now 21-4.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Castle View has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Grandview struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Castle View skirted past Grandview 9-7 when the teams last played back in April. Do the Sabercats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
