It was a good run, but the Dillon Wildcats unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 57-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Loris. Dillon has not had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Dillon's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zamaurious Robertson, who scored 12 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Shawn Samuel, who scored eight points along with 12 rebounds.
Dillon's loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-6. As for Loris, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dillon will challenge the Blue Jackets at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Aynor has now lost 12 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 12. As for Loris, they will head out on the road to take on the Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Waccamaw will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 206th, while the Lions are ranked 76th).
