There's no place like home for the Providence Grove Patriots, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 52-40 victory over Wheatmore on Friday. For Providence Grove, this counts as revenge for the 57-48 loss Wheatmore walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.
Providence Grove's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from LAUREL BERNHARDT, who scored 13 points along with five assists and five rebounds. BERNHARDT is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of BROOKE INGRAM, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Providence Grove's victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Wheatmore, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-7.
Providence Grove will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Eastern Randolph at 6:00 p.m. Eastern Randolph and Providence Grove are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Wheatmore, they will head out on the road to square off against Uwharrie Charter at 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Uwharrie Charter focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 33 on Friday.
