They were the victim of a tough 44-24 loss at the hands of Open Bible Christian. Westwood Christian has struggled against Open Bible Christian recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite their defeat, Westwood Christian saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Brett Bozeman, who scored four points along with three steals, was perhaps the best of all.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Corinth Christian Academy, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 59-41 loss to Open Bible Christian on Thursday. Corinth Christian Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Alden Hughes, who scored 15 points along with five assists. Justin Fowler was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Westwood Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Corinth Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.
Friday's game is shaping up to be a scrappy match: Westwood Christian have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 29.6 rebounds per game. It's a different story for Corinth Christian Academy, though, as they've been averaging only 25.4 rebounds per game. Given Westwood Christian's sizeable advantage in that area, Corinth Christian Academy will need to find a way to close that gap.
