The Bowman Academy Eagles were the 63-62 winner over the Andrean Fighting 59ers when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Bowman Academy ended up on the wrong side of a tough 75-51 walloping at the hands of Andrean on Saturday. Bowman Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-21.
Despite the loss, Bowman Academy still got an impressive performance from Nickolas Black, who scored 17 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 blocks. The match was Black's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Tasean Gates was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with 7 rebounds.
Bowman Academy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Andrean, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Bowman Academy will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Lighthouse College Prep Academy at 7:00 p.m. on December 5th. As for Andrean, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Mishawaka at 7:00 p.m.
