Suffield Academy's Brice McAllister rumbled for the longest rushing play in Colonial this season in his game against Tabor Academy last week. McAllister's team beat the Seawolves as he sprinted for 66 yards on the play and finished with 212 in all.
Tabor Academy moved up to 47 from 210 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. A 33-13 win over Bill Hrasky's team helped Bill Hrasky's team improve its standing.
Suffield Academy's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jake Lazarus threw for 113 and two touchdowns and CJ Moore had 62 yards receiving. Christian Wilkins helped Suffield Academy's passing attack out by catching three balls for 62 yards.
Suffield Academy's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Tigers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Lazarus has thrown for 113 yards and two touchdowns this season, while Moore has three catches for 62 yards. McAllister leads the league in rushing with 212 yards.
A big matchup in Colonial this week will be when Williston Northampton takes on Canterbury. The Wildcats are currently in first, while the Saints are in fifth.
Gunnery and St. Thomas More played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Gunnery eventually emerging with a 37-34 victory.
