On Thursday Hazard take on Phelps at Phelps High School at 7:00 PM. Hazard don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
After a dominant win in their contest two weeks ago, Hazard were humbled last Friday. They were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap, as they fell 27-33 to Pikeville.
Meanwhile, Phelps put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They took the game and then some with a 52-0 victory over Fairview. Phelps were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Everything went Hazard's way against Phelps the last time the two teams met as they made off with a 37-8 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hazard since the team won't have home-field advantage. Watch the game and check back on MaxPreps to see if the change in venue makes a difference.
