Several Patriots players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Diego Serrano, who scored five points along with six rebounds and five assists. Serrano has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Armando Galaviz, who scored seven points.
Mission Veterans Memorial has not been sharp recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for Rio Grande City, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-11.
