The Crockett Cougars will head out on the road to take on the LBJ Austin Jaguars at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
After soaring to four goals the game before, Crockett were a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They fell just short of Northeast Early College by a score of 2-1. Crockett has not had much luck with Northeast Early College recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Meanwhile, LBJ Austin had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.5 goals), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 6-1 margin over Eastside Early College. That looming 6-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for LBJ Austin yet this season.
Their offense was hitting Eastside Early College from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal.
Crockett's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8-2. As for LBJ Austin, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8-1.
