Bunkie got themselves on the board against Monterey on Saturday, but Monterey never followed suit. They were the clear victor by a 10-0 margin over the Monterey Wolves. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won four matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Bunkie is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Bunkie wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 12-2 victory against Franklin Parish on the 1st. As for Monterey, they will head out on the road to take on St. Joseph's - Plaucheville at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Monterey is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak dating back to last season.
