The Springwood Wildcats typically have all the answers at home, but on Tuesday the Lakeside School Chiefs proved too difficult a challenge. Lakeside School walked away with a 45-38 victory over Springwood. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Lakeside School.
Lakeside School's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chloe Helms led the charge by scoring 14 points. The contest was Helms' seventh in a row with at least ten points. Adalyn Helms was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Lakeside School is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. As for Springwood, they bumped their record down to 6-1 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Lakeside School will take on Lee-Scott Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Springwood, they will head out on the road to face off against Calvary Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Calvary Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Tuesday.
