Discovery Canyon can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They took down Cheyenne Mountain 48-29. Discovery Canyon pushed the score to 41-21 by the end of the third, a deficit Cheyenne Mountain cut but never quite recovered from.
Among those leading the charge was Natalie Neuhaus, who scored 13 points along with five steals. She continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Hulse, who scored six points along with six rebounds.
Lewis-Palmer has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were outmatched by Lutheran on the road and fell 56-29. Lewis-Palmer was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-11.
Discovery Canyon's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-13. As for Lewis-Palmer, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 15-7 record this season.
