On Friday, San Isidro had to suffer through a rough 82-43 loss at the hands of Taft. San Isidro has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Jordan Villalobos was his usual excellent self, scoring 35 points along with five rebounds and three steals for Taft. The game was Villalobos' 11th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of David Davis, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 20 rebounds.
San Isidro has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Taft, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. San Isidro will take on McMullen County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. McMullen County is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Taft, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on George West at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th. Hopefully George West focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Tuesday.
