Volleyball Recap: Eastland Gets the Win

Eastland won the last time they faced Rock Falls and things went their way on Saturday too. The Cougars walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Rockets.

While Eastland might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Rock Falls scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-19.

Trixie Carroll paced Eastland's offense, picking up 13 kills. Carroll got some help from Keara Kaus and her 18 assists. Morgan McCullough and Vanessa Allen kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Eastland's win bumped their record up to 23-10. As for Rock Falls, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 19-14.

Eastland and Rock Falls should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Cougars will face off against Morrison at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (167 vs. 385). Meanwhile, Rock Falls (ranked 219th) will meet Oregon (ranked 549th) at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
