The Bel Air Bobcats lost against the Joppatowne Mariners back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Bel Air suffered a tough 74-49 defeat at the hands of Joppatowne. Bel Air has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Joppatowne's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kishann Smith, who scored 18 points along with seven steals and six assists. Smith hasn't dropped below 17 points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Phil Clark, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Bel Air now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Joppatowne, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.
Bel Air will head out on the road to take on North East at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Joppatowne, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 92-42 victory vs. North Harford on the 9th.
