The KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They strolled past George School with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 36-20.
KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Vontez Scales, who rushed for 177 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.4 yards per carry, and also threw for 146 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Shamir White, who picked up 127 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for George School, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy will take on Vaux Big Picture at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Vaux Big Picture is ranked 540th, while KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy is ranked 549th). George School does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
