Linden is 9-1 against Marengo since February of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Linden Patriots will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Marengo Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Linden is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
Last Friday, Linden was beaten by Greene County 82-42. Linden has not had much luck with Greene County recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Meanwhile, Marengo scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Johnson 67-29 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Marengo has managed all season.
Linden's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-8. As for Marengo, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.
Linden came up short against Marengo in their previous meeting two weeks ago, falling 43-36. Can Linden avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
