Winning always takes teamwork, but on Saturday Carly Holman stepped things up a notch to give John Paul II the 'W'. Holman struck out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and only one walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best she's had all season long. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Holman and John Paul II will challenge Bishop Lynch at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
