If York Prep was feeling good fresh off their 40-20 takedown of North Central last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The York Prep Patriots took a 70-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lake Norman Christian Lions. The Patriots' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Lake Norman Christian was led to victory by Kobe Broome and BJ Johnson. Broome posted 13 points and five steals, while Johnson dropped a double-double on ten points and ten boards. The dominant performance also gave Johnson a new career-high in steals (five). DJ Todd was another key player, putting up 12 points and five rebounds.

York Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Lake Norman Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Carvers Bay the next time they take the court. York Prep will head out to face Carvers Bay at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Lake Norman Christian will head out to face them at 11:30 a.m. on Monday.
