The Delavan Panthers are on the road again on Tuesday and play against the Tremont Turks at 5:30 p.m. on December 5th. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, Delavan was able to grind out a solid victory over Elmwood, taking the game 34-21. Given Delavan's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 90th, while Elmwood is ranked 425th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Alex Seaton was the offensive standout of the match as he scored 12 points along with 7 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Zach McLean, who scored 4 points along with 7 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Tremont put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Farmington by a score of 57-46.
Their wins bumped Delavan to 5-1 and Elmwood to 2-5.
Delavan might still be hurting after the 73-52 defeat they got from Tremont in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Can Delavan avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
