Madison Medvec spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits.
On the hitting side, Elliana Thompson was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Lilly Madeline, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, Champion got themselves on the board against Liberty on Monday, but Liberty never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over the Leopards.
The result came thanks to Gabrielle Gradishar's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up 20 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 18 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Champion let Ava Sylvester and Taylor Rouan run wild. Sylvester went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run, while Rouan went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That triple marked the first that Sylvester has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Josie Perhach, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run.
Champion's win bumped their record up to 19-5. As for Poland Seminary, they now have a winning record of 13-12.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Poland Seminary has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.1 hits per game. However, it's not like Champion struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 3.2 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Poland Seminary suffered a grim 13-0 defeat to Champion in their previous meeting back in May of 2018. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
