Nixon struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Vela racked up 19 assists.
It was another big night for Axel Garza, who almost dropped a double-double on 28 points and nine rebounds for Vela. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Garza has scored all season. Jp Olivarez was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five assists and four steals.
Nixon has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 25-12 record this season. As for Vela, the victory (which was their 20th in a row) raised their record to 34-5.
