Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Peoria Notre Dame walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Mt. Carmel Golden Aces on Thursday as they made off with a 61-35 victory. The Irish have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 25 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Mt. Carmel's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Maycee Randall, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 12 rebounds, and Madison Stevens, who posted eight points and seven boards. Randall is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last eight games she's played.

Peoria Notre Dame has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 26 of their last 27 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 33-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.1 points over those games. Mt. Carmel moved to 30-5 with that defeat, which also ended their 15-game winning streak.

Peoria Notre Dame didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-29 loss against Nashville on the 8th. As for Mt. Carmel, they have also already played their next match, a 50-38 win against Phillips on the 7th.
