The Walhalla Razorbacks will challenge the Mountain View Prep Stars at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Walhalla is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
Walhalla lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Pickens, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's game. The Razorbacks' pitcher stepped up to hand the Blue Flame a 9-0 shutout on Thursday. Surprisingly, this marked the third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

COLLIN PHILLIPS made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 15 over seven innings pitched. Those 15 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on DALTON DIAL, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. WESTON HARDIN was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Mountain View Prep didn't have quite enough to beat Saluda on Saturday and fell 5-4. The loss was the Stars' first of the season.
Mountain View Prep also got a good showing from Hayden Long, who pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.
On the hitting side, Mountain View Prep saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Davian Hurst, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.
Walhalla pushed their record up to 11-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Mountain View Prep, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 8-1.
Walhalla came up short against Mountain View Prep in their previous meeting back in March, falling 10-5. Will the Razorbacks have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
