Meanwhile, Lecanto was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 51-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dunnellon. While the Panthers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Tigers 16-12 in the first quarter.
The win made it two in a row for Crystal River and bumps their season record up to 3-4. As for Lecanto, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Crystal River was taken down by Lecanto 65-10 when the teams last played back in January. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Crystal River was down 38-7.
