The Arnold Marlins will challenge the Godby Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Arnold will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Arnold's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Murray with a sharp 13-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Marlins, who have now won nine matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Beau Williams looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Mason Laymon, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Braxton Greve, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
Arnold always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times Godby and Wakulla Christian School had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Cougars fell just short of the Saints by a score of 6-4 last Tuesday.
Godby saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Patrick Garland, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Godby's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Arnold, their victory bumped their record up to 14-11.
Godby's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Arnold has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.5 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Godby, though, as they've been averaging only 3.4 strikeouts. Will Arnold keep running through batters, or will the Cougars buck the trend?
Everything went Arnold's way against Godby in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, as Arnold made off with a 13-3 win. Do the Marlins have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cougars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
