The St. Brendan Sabres can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent contest on Thursday. They breezed by Divine Savior Academy on the road to the tune of 65-10. That 55 points margin sets a new team best for St. Brendan this season.
Jaden Castro was her usual excellent self, scoring 30 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Sofia Toro, who scored 12 points.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Divine Savior Academy struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
St. Brendan now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Divine Savior Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Brendan won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Sunset at 3:30 p.m. on January 12th. Hopefully Sunset focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 34 last Wednesday. As for Divine Savior Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Mater Academy Charter at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
