Softball Recap: Friday's Win Is Plato's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

The Plato Eagles got the win against the Lighthouse Christian Chargers on Friday by a conclusive 12-2. Considering the Eagles have won 11 games by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Plato is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.4 runs over those games. As for Lighthouse Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Plato wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Norwood on the 12th. As for Lighthouse Christian, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Mt. Vernon at 5:00 p.m. on May 1.
