The Rocky River Pirates will head out on the road to face off against the Bay Rockets at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Rocky River was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 55-50 to Lakewood.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Ryan Ricketti, who scored 11 points. He is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Julian Patti was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Bay lost to Normandy at home by a decisive 68-49 margin on Tuesday. Bay has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Rocky River's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Bay, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.
Rocky River strolled past Bay when the teams last played back in January by a score of 66-48. The rematch might be a little tougher for Rocky River since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
