The West Port Wolf Pack had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They secured a 54-49 W over Santa Fe.
West Port's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Demetrius Brown, who scored 17 points. The game was Brown's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hendel Rivera, who scored 15 points.
West Port's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Santa Fe, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
West Port's road trip will continue as they head out to face Wildwood at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th. Wildwood will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 651st, while West Port is ranked 252nd). As for Santa Fe, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gainesville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Gainesville and Santa Fe are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
