The Bethel Assembly Christian Academy Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 67-21 victory over New Life Academy at home. Bethel Assembly Christian Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 22 points or more this season.
Lauren Taylor was her usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with four steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Coleen Askew, who scored ten points along with eight assists and two steals.
Despite the loss, New Life Academy saw an underclassman step up: Addison Garner scored ten points. That was a full 47.6% of New Life Academy's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
The win was the fifth in a row for Bethel Assembly Christian Academy, bringing their record for this year to 10-6. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.6 points per game. As for New Life Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Bethel Assembly Christian Academy will be playing at home against the at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. New Life Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
